Today was the first meeting of our new Green Team. Thank you all for your commitment, especially as you needed to be in school at 8:15!

We started the meeting by reviewing our Green Charter and thinking about the areas we would like to focus on for the year ahead. We have lots of exciting ideas!

Here are some of the reasons we joined the Green Team:

  • CC: I want to help the planet to grow plants and trees to help the environment. Orangutans lose their homes due to deforestation and i want to help prevent that.

  • MT: I want to help the environment. When I was in Regents Park I got a litter picker and picked up the litter.

  • GBA: I want to help the environment so the world is good place to live in. I don’t  want animals to live badly.

  • JT: I love plants but I don’t love invasive weeds. I want to help stop the environment attacking itself. Humans do this through using pesticides and bad chemicals.

  • RW: I want to reduce our sue of single use plastic and make the world a better place for people and animals to live in.

  • RC: I want to help the environment and make sure thee is no rubbish or littering.

  • AE: I want to help people in the future and encourage them to be green.

  • JB: I had a pet turtle who got sick because of his habitat. I released him in the sea. Now I know how much plastic there is in the sea I am worried about him and other sea life.

  • LVB: I love animals. I want the world to be a greener place to live in.
