Following on from our shared priorities at our meeting last week, today Green Team decided to get straight to work! JT had stated that he wanted us to address weeds so we started by pulling up some of the huge weeds on the roof playground. We were very confused as to how they grow without any soil. Some were tricky to reach and we will leave them to Mr Normunds. However we are proud of the great start that we made. We also found some snails and made sure they were carefully placed in a more appropriate habitat.
This week we picked out all the weeds from the floor on the roof and I really enjoyed it. It was funny because Molly tried to find a toy but Miss Coleman had already taken the one she was playing with so she was confused. I’m so grateful to be a part of Green team for my last year in St Vincent’s.
I think Green Team really enjoyed their meeting and I am really thankful that they cleared up all the weeds on the roof. Thank you for volunteering to be part of Green Team and make our environment clean.
