At St. Vincent’s, we love reading! This Christmas, whilst everyone is staying at home, it’s a good opportunity to read even more books.
Local libraries together with the Reading Agency are running a Winter Mini Challenge via a special website www.wintermini.org.uk to encourage children to keep up their reading habits over the winter holidays and this year’s theme is Everyone Is A Hero.
To take part, children simply read three or more books – these can be any books of your choice. Every time you finish a book, add it to your Challenge website profile and leave a short book review. Reaching your online reading goal will unlock a virtual badge and a special Everyone Is A Hero certificate to print off and keep. There are also a whole host of fun activities, videos and reading recommendations, plus an exciting competition.
