Year 1 had such a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day!

It was a very busy day, starting with a whole school assembly where we could see everyone’s costumes. We loved trying to see who everyone was! We had special lessons in Year 1 and Year 2 on the theme of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We even had a workshop with a storyteller where we made our own sweets that Willy Wonka might have made!

It was really fun to see all the amazing costumes that everyone in our class was wearing and trying to work out which character they were!

We ended the day with some family reading. It was so fun to read with our families and friends!

At the workshop I really loved when I made a sweet called jelly gum and I also loved when I made a sweet called blue burst and when we had the parade in the hall and when the adults took a photo and when mama came in.

  2. I loved reading about Charlie and the chocolate factory.
