Today, Year 1 had the wonderful opportunity to visit Hyde Park as part of the British Summer Time Festival. We were delighted to be invited to attend Chickenshed’s Tales from the Shed: Sunshine Tales workshop.

We enjoyed a lovely walk to Hyde Park and, once we arrived, we stopped for a well-earned snack before the performance began. The interactive show started with some dancing. Although a few of us were a little shy at first, it wasn’t long before everyone found their confidence and joined in with enthusiasm!

The workshop was based on the story Quack Quack, Take Two Steps Back, which teaches children about the importance of water safety in a fun and engaging way. The children thoroughly enjoyed the talented actors, lively music, energetic dancing and wonderful puppets, making it an unforgettable experience.

After the performance, we had lunch in the park before taking part in an exciting dance workshop led by the Chickenshed team. The children loved learning new moves and expressing themselves through dance.

It was a fantastic morning filled with fun, creativity and learning. A huge thank you to all of our parents and carers for your continued support in making experiences like this possible. We are so proud of how well the children represented our school throughout the visit!
