This morning Year 2 performed a brilliant assembly on their topic of Historical Heroes.
They taught us all about two very important nurses – Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. They share they similarities and differences as well as sharing some of the other historical heroes that they have been learning about: Edith Cavell, Alexander Graham Bell, Louis Braille and Queen Elizabeth II. They reminded us that we can all be heroes if we are hard working and brave. All the children performed excellently and we enjoyed their wonderful singing as well!

I really enjoyed being Mary Seacole:-) It was one of my most favourite assemblies. I even enjoyed the practice sessions with my class mates and teachers. What a wonderful day! 🥰
