This week in Year 5, we have been learning about Islam to celebrate other faiths, in particular the Islamic celebration of Eid and the fasting of Ramadan that precedes it. Along with Year 6, we visited London Central Mosque to learn more about Islamic faith and worship.
The mosque is a very impressive building and is beautifully cared for. We met our guide, Mr Mezzi, and we got to ask questions before we were taken to a fascinating exhibition delving into the history and big questions of Islam. We were all especially honoured to get the chance to visit the prayer hall and learn about prayer rituals for Muslims.
We are extremely grateful for the warm welcome we received from everyone at London Central Mosque and really enjoyed this experience!
