Good Morning Year 2

Today we will be looking at finding the end times. Lesson 7 focuses on adding one hour – remember that when we do that, the minute hand doesn’t need to change! Lesson 8 adds different number of minutes – remember to count round the clock in 5s when counting the minutes.

Please go onto the Maths No Problem Hub and click through to find:
Textbook 2B, Chapter 14, Lesson 7 & 8 – Finding End Times
Or, click onto each lesson directly. You will still be prompted to log in. Lesson 7 and Lesson 8

Remember, you do not need to send through your answers any more – your parents have the answers and can mark your work for you!

When going through the textbook, try to work through the ‘Let’s Focus’ section and come to an answer before you start checking it by going through the ‘Let’s Learn’ section. Again, some of the worksheets have questions that mean you have to draw clocks or match them to the right answer. If this is tricky to do without the worksheet, then just talk to someone in your house and point to the correct answer. They have the answers so can check your work as you go.

If you are still finding telling the time hard, then go back over Tuesday’s blog or Wednesday’s blog to do the Maths No Problem work or to play the games again. Click here for a new game which you can play on level one.

If you are feeling very confident with today’s activity, then there is a challenge for you to do. Click here for a time telling game, playing levels 2 and 3.

  2. Sophia did a few pages in her new ‘Collins Telling The Time ‘ workbook this morning.

  3. Emilia and Isabella completed all their math homework test about time ending. Emilia could complete her work book tests independently. Isabella needed bit of help at the beginning but finished them by herself.

  4. Work done!

  5. I have been learning lots about telling the time !

  6. Dear Miss Carruthers,
I finished my work. It was ok.
    Have a nice day.

  7. Dear miss Carruthers,
I have finished my maths blog homework and it is much better than printing it out because it takes a long time to print and it is not environmentally friendly.

  8. Miss Carruthers says:

Well done all of you for finishing the Maths task. I hope you are all becoming more confident with telling the time.

  9. All done. Sophia found that tricky getting confused with hour/minutes. We had to stop yesterday and start fresh this morning. We did additional time practise this morning.
