Good Morning Year 2!

Click here for a printable version of this blog post: Friday Music printable

Today we’re going to be looking at some Music and singing activities. To get us stared, take part in this BBC Bitesize singing lesson, which has a great video to help us warm up our voices.

If you want to do more singing, then visit an old news post on our school website, which has lots of links to other websites so you can sing along to some of your favourite school songs.

Let me know which songs you have been singing!

We do a lot of rhythm work in our music lessons – can you remember how to play the clapping game? Clap a rhythm and see if someone in your family can clap it back.

We can make so much music with our bodies, try this BBC Bitesize lesson which teaches us all about body percussion.

If you want to do more musical activities, you can make your own musical instruments by watching this video or you can play and explore music on Busy Things. Go to Year 2, Music, Play and Exploration – Here there are lots of fun games that you can play that help you to have fun with music!

I hope you enjoy all your music and singing today! Let us know in the comments below what you have done, and send in some photos of you doing it. You may even like to put on a performance for your family!
