Good Morning, Reception.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Last week, we were learning about when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

This is from the book of Acts in the Bible:
‘The Holy Spirit had arrived. The disciples could speak in languages that they had never learned. They were filled with burning joy and felt incredibly brave. The time had come to break out of their room and tell the world the glorious message! They rushed out into the streets where there were thousands of people. Peter began to speak. “Listen to me,” he shouted. Then he told all the people about Jesus. Thousands of people listened as Peter told them why Jesus died. People from all around the world heard Peter’s words in their own languages. They were amazed. The people said, “What Good News!” That day, 3,000 people were brought into God’s family and were baptised. It was a beautiful beginning to a wonderful new life for them. Everyone was in shock at the wonders and miracles. All they could do, day after day, was talk to God and praise Him.’ (Acts 2: 1-6)

The Bible tells us that after Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, the disciples rushed out to tell everyone all about Jesus.

The good news that they told the people was so amazing that 3000 people were brought into God’s family that day!

Ask a grown up to read a Bible story about Jesus with you.

Can you find out about one of the wonders or miracles that Jesus performed when he was alive?

Can you pretend to be one of the disciples and tell us about all about it?

I am looking forward to hearing lots of good news about Jesus today.

Love from Miss Siswick

It would really help me if you could upload photos  straight to the media file (instructions are here: sharing photos and files) as they get to me more quickly and easily as they don’t have to go via the office and my e-mail. Please can either your child’s name or face (but not both) be visible on any photos. Many thanks.

Lazarus died and his two sisters were very sad. Jesus came to visit them. Jesus asked to go to the tomb and to open it. The sisters told Jesus that Lazarus died some days ago and they should not open it. Jesus told them that if they believe they will see the Glory of God. Jesus thanked his father to listen to him and after he said to Lazarus to come out, which he did!

  28. Yesterday we saw a miracle. Jesus cured a leper. We said “Jesus, what are you doing, don’t go near him, you will get ill”, but he went up to the man and touched him. In front of our eyes he was healed. The man wanted to tell everyone what had happened but Jesus said no, don’t, just go to the priests and tell them to look at you and they will see you are clean.

  29. Good morning Miss,
    Miracles of Jesus
I like this movie “because it is interesting” ! I saw three miracles:
1/ A disciple of Jesus had a child who was very ill and died. Jesus came to his home and gave life back to the child.
2/ Disciples of Jesus were sad because they could not offer wine to their friends. Wine lacked. They asked Jesus who said : fill the jugs with water. He changed the water into wine.
3/ A woman was ill and doctors could not heal her. In the street she saw Jesus walking with his disciples. She touched his dress and illness disappeared.
    Have a nice day
