Good morning St. Vincent’s!

It is day 3 of Wellbeing Week and today we are focusing on the ‘3rd Step to Wellbeing’ which is ‘Keep Active’!

Be active:  It keeps you physically healthy, and makes you feel good

I love keeping active. If I feel a bit down or sad, I try and go for a walk, do some yoga or even get up and do a ‘5 minute wiggle!’

Why should we keep active?

  • It helps us to sleep better
  • It gives us more energy
  • It makes us stronger
  • It helps our heart to become healthier
  • It makes us happier!

Today, you are all going to try and do one ‘Active Activity’!

Challenges:

  1. How many star jumps can you do in 1 minute? How many sit ups can you do in 1 minute? How many squats can you do in 1 minute? Record your answer below!
  2. Try the ‘P.E with Joe’ workout! Click here! (you can even dress up like Joe!)
  3. Only have 5 minutes? Try this one!
  4. Who can do the ‘Baby Shark Ab workout’!? Click here!
  5. Or try this Yoga routine that helps you to calm down whilst strengthening your muscles.

Miss Gorick 🙂

God of Hope,

Be beside us as we stand on the edge of a great adventure.

As it tests our strength,

As it tests our courage,

As it tests our friendships.

Through your infinite goodness

Enable us to find new strength,

Discover our inner courage

And enkindle new friendships

So that we return stronger,

Bolder,

Kinder

And wiser.

 Amen.

  1. Hello Miss Gorick,

Today I tried for the first time Yoga Adventures Frozen on Youtube. I enjoyed it very much because the yoga teacher told the whole frozen story while doing special frozen exercises. I felt super and full with energy afterwards.

    Greetings,
    Sophia

I did 70 star jumps in one minute and 63 squats.
Gabriel did 45 squats in one minute and 34 star jumps. Then we did the workout with Joe.
I feel very very tired of doing the workout with Joe but I also feel energised!
