Year 1 had such a fun trip to Broadstairs beach yesterday! Everyone was beautifully behaved both on the coach and at the beach, and we had perfect weather the whole time we were at the beach.
Once we arrived we enjoyed our lunch on the grass overlooking the beach. We were able to avoid the pesky sea gulls which was excellent. Then we made our way to the beach where we took our shoes off and enjoyed the feeling of the sand! We had a sandcastle making competition where we used our buckets and spades, as well as any shells, rocks and seaweeds we could find! This was so much fun. Next Year 1 looked around at the beach and drew a map of what we could see- this included the sea, cliff, jetty, flags, sand and seaweed. After that we went paddling in the sea, which was most people favourite part! We then went to the other end of the beach and did a scavenger hunt to find different beach objects. We had to walk through lots of sea weed which was a bit yucky! Finally we got our shoes back on and sat down to enjoy our ice creams.
What a fun special trip for Year 1!
It seems like you guys had a lot of fun and when I went to the beach I loved it. I have so many memories when I went to Broadstairs beach and the best part was ice cream!
