In the Autumn term, we played netball for the intersports. Each class between Years 2 and 6 were divided into 4 netball teams: red, yellow, blue and green. After a couple of weeks of learning the rules of netball, we began the competition. Each team participated in a league table and everyone got the chance to play each other the same number of times. For most year groups, the final was between the two teams who were at the top of their league and the remaining two teams got the chance to battle it out for third place. The children demonstrated wonderful sportsmanship and teamwork skills throughout, and played with enthusiasm and determination.

Each class has a trophy and the trophy is decorated with the coloured ribbons belonging to the winning team. Each member of the winning team is given a medal as a reward for their victory and both the medals and the trophy were presented this week in assembly. The results for each year group are as follows:

Year 2:

Winning team: green team

Runners up: blue team

Third place: red team

Year 3

Winning team: blue team

Runners up: yellow team

Third place: green team

Year 4

Third place: green team

Year 5
