In Reception we are exploring a new book ‘The Magic Paintbrush’.
We have been learning all about its magic after a special note was left on my desk on Monday – telling us about the paintbrush that Shen has left for us!!
Everyone was very excited, and had lots of fun guessing what powers the magic paintbrush had.
Once reading the story we learnt that whatever you paint with the brush, comes alive!! The painting will jump off the page and be real.
Reception practiced their Phase 3 sounds in our writing session, where they wrote ‘with my magic paintbrush I will paint’ and then wrote independantly what they would paint!
We first practiced drawing, and then painting what we would use the magic to paint 🙂
Reception have had lots of fun learning about Shen and all the magic her paintbrush can bring to those around her.
This seems so much fun. Great book choice!
