Well done to all the Year 4 children for an excellent first week at school! The children have brought great enthusiasm and energy with them and have already completed lots of fantastic learning.
We started the week by thinking about the important values and virtues that we believe are important and discussing what these mean. We then considered which values are easy to follow and which can be more challenging, as well as deciding which ones we feel are the most important. As a class, we agreed on the values that we believe are most important to follow in our school. These will be displayed on our class charter as values that we should all aim to follow throughout the year.
We then spent some time learning about our school Saints, getting to know them better and exploring the values and virtues they demonstrated as role models for us. We learnt some fantastic facts and can’t wait to share our new knowledge with the rest of the class!
We ended the week with a fantastic music lesson, which gave us the opportunity to play the ukulele. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt some new chords, which we practised together.
I am really looking forward to working with the Year 4 class this academic year, and I am excited about all the wonderful learning and experiences we are going to explore together!
