Today we had our own World Book Day at St. Vincent’s! We had such a brilliant time sharing our love of reading!
We started the day with an assembly where we all got to parade in our costumes! After that, we had a lovely visit from the author Tola Okogwu, and she shared all about her book series and how she gets inspiration for writing her stories. Later we went to Mr. Kersey’s class and had an activity where we wrote the end of a story!
After lunch, we read the Tortoise and the Hare together and debated which character we would rather be, the tortoise or the hare. Finally we spent time reading our favourite books with our families!
This book day was even better than the last!
