A special message from the Sisters of Tyburn Convent

Last year Mrs Avdiu, Ms Healy and our Pupil Chaplaincy team visited the Tyburn Convent in Hyde Park Place and were taken on a fascinating crypt tour by Sister Mary, a contemplative nun. Click here to see details of that remarkable visit. Due to the current unprecedented situation, we are unfortunately unable to visit again this year however Mrs Avdiu has requested that the nuns pray for us all and we have been sent a warm message by the nuns dedicated to the St Vincent’s family:

During the days when we celebrate the beautiful Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus we bring all our friends and all those who have asked our prayer before Our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament asking all the graces, blessings, healing, protection and help each one needs.  We have especially been remembering all the teachers, pupils and their parents and the support staff of St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School in Marylebone as you have requested, asking for each member of your school family the special blessings needed during this challenging time.

Here is a prayer to Our Lady:

This is a special prayer asking Our Lady’s protection from the Coronavirus and for an end to the pandemic in the UK and throughout the world.  We thought you may like to use this prayer on your website.  Each of our communities have been saying this prayer since the beginning of the shutdown, and have invited many of our friends to join us.

As you will have heard when you visited us last year, we entrust all the intentions confided to our prayer to our saintly Mother Foundress, Mother Marie Adele Garnier, and we ask her special prayer for the whole school family of St. Vincent’s in Marylebone, and especially for well-being and protection from the virus.  We also pray that you will have the opportunity to visit us again.

May our loving Heavenly Father keep you and all your dear ones, Mrs. Avdiu, in the very palm of His hand.

May Our Lady and all her Holy Angels be with you all to bring strength and joy, even amid the difficulties.

Lovingly in the Sacred Heart,

Sister Mary
