In today’s whole school assembly, we received our certificates for all our hard work as the school council representatives for this academic year.
Over this year we have worked together, listened to suggestions from our peers and tried to make our school even better. Some of our highlights from this year include our virtual tour of the House of Commons. We found out how parliament make new laws and even had a go at a mock vote. One of our favourite facts from the tour was that Queen Victoria was so small that she had to put a stool under her feet, otherwise her feet would be dangling in the air!
It has been really exciting to see that the school has taken on our suggestions. We were so happy that tug of war and long jump were included in our Sports Day again. We’re really proud of all our work with Harrisons with the school lunches. We now have a wide variety of salads and particularly enjoy the olives! We have also enjoyed showing our friends the video we made to show new parents what life is like at St Vincent’s, and we hope they bring their children to our school!
We wish all the best to the new selected members in September 2022.

It was an honour to be in school council for my last year. I loved getting the certificate for all the hard work that we have been doing. Being in school council has been such a pleasure throughout the year, I love helping out the school and making it a better place for future generations. I hope that the school can be a better place in the future. I will miss being a school council member.
I am so grateful to get a school council certificate this year! It has been such a pleasure to be part of this team, plus taking suggestions from other pupils in the school. I have always wanted this role, so I am proud to represent school council in every way possible as well as showing and introducing other people our fantastic school. Thank you so much for giving me this certificate, and I hope we all have reached your expectations about improving our school.

I loved being in school council for this whole year. I did not believe that we were going to get certificates and I am grateful that we did. Me and the other school councillors tried our hardest io improve the school I hope you enjoy what we did that is new for our school. I wish I could be a school council member again because I loved being one so I will definitely miss school council. I hope the school gets improved with all the ideas we thought of .
