Lunchtime Hubs

Each lunchtime we have a different hub that children can attend. As well as the fun array of outdoor games at lunchtime, the hub provides a quieter space to participate in a range of supervised activities such as Lego, origami and sewing.  We have:

    • Games Hub
    • Lego Hub(KS1 and KS2)
    • Origami Hub
    • Sewing Hub

After School Hub

We have a special After School Club that support the emotional wellbeing of children. Children are referred to the After School hub by their teachers for a 6-12 week therapeutic and creative programme that allows them to learn mindfulness skills and create a large scale art project. During the programme children will also develop their communication skills and be given the opportunity to express themselves in a creative way.

Hub during school closure

When schools were closed to help reduce the spread of infection, we joined with local schools to create a hub for children of key workers and vulnerable children. Together with St Mary’s Branston Square, Hampton Gurney and St Mary of the Angels, staff attended on a rota to support the children. We did a range of activities including sport and art, as well as supporting them with their Home Learning set by their schools.

Once schools re-opened in June, we continued our Hub at St Vincent’s. The Hub had it’s own area to learn and play and were well supported by many adults. The children enjoyed taking part in their class activities and Zoom calls from the Hub, as well as their daily sport following Joe Wicks.
